LinkedIn ConnectEz is built with a single, clear purpose: to streamline and automate professional networking on LinkedIn by allowing users to manage, filter, and dispatch connection requests with safety limits and customizable delay intervals.
The extension operates locally within your active LinkedIn session. It never accesses, collects, sells, or transmits your LinkedIn passwords, private messages, contact lists, or personal browsing history.
2. Information Stored Locally
To deliver its core networking features, the extension uses browser local storage (chrome.storage.local) exclusively to save:
- Your automation preferences (delay between connection clicks, daily connect limit).
- Daily request counters (to prevent exceeding safe platform limits).
- An anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (UUID) for basic telemetry.
3. Optional Consensual Bandwidth Sharing (Mellowtel)
To support ongoing maintenance and keep our software accessible, LinkedIn ConnectEz integrates Mellowtel, an open-source, consensual web bandwidth sharing library.
Strict Opt-In Requirement: Mellowtel only activates if you explicitly review and accept the transparent opt-in prompt presented after installation.
What It Does: It routes non-sensitive, public web requests (such as price comparison indexes and public data verification) through your idle internet connection.
What It NEVER Does: It never inspects your personal browsing activity, never accesses passwords or credentials, and never interferes with your internet browsing speed.
Easy 1-Click Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time directly through the extension popup settings.
4. Permissions Justification
