ConnectEz helps you network on LinkedIn with AI: it writes personal connection notes, organises your LinkedIn inbox and drafts replies in your style. It works inside your own LinkedIn session in your browser.

ConnectEz never asks for, accesses or stores your LinkedIn password, and never sends a LinkedIn message unless you click Send, type "send" in the ConnectEz chat, or turn on Auto reply.

• AI connection notes: the name and headline shown in LinkedIn search results, and the purpose or note you type, are sent to the ConnectEz AI service to write a note.
• Inbox AI (only after you click Allow): names and message text of LinkedIn conversations ConnectEz reads are sent to the ConnectEz AI service to rank your messages, answer your questions and write replies.
• Auto reply (off by default): a new message and the recent messages in that chat are sent to the ConnectEz AI service to write a reply, which is sent from your LinkedIn account. It is limited per day and per chat.
• Web search in chat: only your question (never your LinkedIn messages) is sent to DuckDuckGo or Wikipedia, without cookies.
• Offline AI (optional): requests are processed on your own computer by your browser's built-in AI or your own local AI app.

The ConnectEz AI service (operated by OmniRefer at omnirefer.org) forwards these requests to the AI model providers we use, only to generate the response. We do not store the content of AI requests, do not use it to train AI models and do not sell it.

The extension uses browser storage (chrome.storage.local) to save, only on your device:

• Your settings (speed, invite limits, Auto reply settings, your "About you" and product text).
• Your ConnectEz AI chat history and chat memory, scanned inbox and drafts.
• Writing-style learning: your messages in chats ConnectEz opens, and drafts you edit or rate, used so replies sound like you.
• An anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (UUID).

You can delete this data at any time with "Turn off Inbox AI and delete its data" in the extension, or by removing the extension.

To run the OmniRefer referral programme, the extension sends to omnirefer.org: the anonymous device identifier, extension version, browser type, referral code (if any), Mellowtel opt-in status and the number of Mellowtel requests served. This is not linked to your name or LinkedIn account.

To support ongoing maintenance and keep our software accessible, ConnectEz integrates Mellowtel, an open-source, consensual web bandwidth sharing library.

Strict opt-in requirement

Mellowtel only activates if you explicitly review and accept the transparent opt-in prompt presented after installation.

What it does

It routes non-sensitive, public web requests (such as price comparison indexes and public data verification) through your idle internet connection.

What it never does

It never inspects your personal browsing activity, never accesses passwords or credentials, and never interferes with your internet browsing speed.

Easy 1-click opt-out

You can opt out at any time directly through the extension popup settings.

• storage — Stores settings, drafts, chat and writing-style learning on your device.
• alarms — Sends the usage statistics described above periodically.
• offscreen — Runs the optional on-device AI.
• Access to linkedin.com — Writes connection notes and messages, and reads the conversations you ask ConnectEz to work with.
• declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess — Used solely by the optional consensual Mellowtel module to coordinate privacy-preserving web requests based on user consent.
• <all_urls> — Required for the optional Mellowtel module to execute public indexing requests when the user is idle, for web search in the ConnectEz chat, and to reach your optional local AI app.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer user data to third parties, except to the AI model providers and search services described above, only to provide the features you use. We do not engage in behavioral profiling or targeted cross-site advertising. ConnectEz is not intended for anyone under 16.
